A manual mechanical movement is used for watches that require manual winding to provide running time for the spring storage power. The conventional power usually takes 2-3 days. The way of walking is through a continuous and even rotation, and listening attentively can hear the continuous ticking sound of walking. When manually winding to a certain extent, there will be a sense of obstruction (resistance feedback) and the sound of winding can be heard.
Note: When manually winding, it is important to avoid forceful winding. Attention should be paid to the feeling of yin stagnation during the winding process. If the hand twisting the crown has already felt a significant obstruction, stop winding (to avoid the spring breaking). Normally, if there is no sense of obstruction when your watch is wound, it can be inferred that the spring may have broken a pear.
The watch with an automatic mechanical movement has an additional automatic winding function. As long as it is worn normally, it can have sufficient power to maintain running time. The way it travels is the same as manual machinery. The obvious difference from manual machinery is the automatic knob on the movement, which can be felt to move when worn or shaken, and the dial is usually engraved with the word "automatic".
Note: The watch with this meter movement has an upper string protection device. Under its protection, the spring box cannot reach the full chain state and is in a dry and non locked state, so it can be continuously linked.
Quartz movement, which is a watch powered by a battery (usually able to last for 18-24 months). The timing method is skip second (some mechanical watches also have the skip second timing method, referred to as the "skip second" function), which means one jump per second. The upper chord gear is in neutral, and there is no sense of obstruction during the upper chord.
